COMPANY ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

WEDNESDAY 25th MARCH 2020 AT 18.45

 

The Company meeting in accordance with the Memorandum and Articles of Association will be held on the above date.

 

 

Item 6: Appointment of Directors.

 

Nominations for appointment of Directors shall be properly proposed and seconded and shall be received by the Company Secretary 14 days prior to the AGM.

 

Para 22 of the Articles of Association require that: At every annual general meeting a minimum two (2) of the Directors must retire from office.

 

Audrey Quinnell (Director of Housekeeping) is retiring from this position and will NOT be seeking re-election.

 

Marilyn Evenden (Director of Marketing, Membership and Recruitment ) is retiring from this position and WILL be seeking re-election.

7.      Approval to the fixing of the Auditors remuneration.

Note 1: Please note full copies of the accounts are held in the office for inspection or available on application to the Company Secretary.

HOUSEKEEPING DIRECTOR

 

 

ROLE OUTLINE:

The role of the Director of Housekeeping is to oversee all aspects relating to the upkeep of the general appearance and member facilities within the club.

MAIN DUTIES:
• Ensure smooth running of catering and bar, through liaison with Caterer.
• Ensure that club is maintained in a clean and tidy manner, through    liaison with Cleaning Company Representative.
• Manage the updating of notice boards, displays and honours boards.
• Monitor Club Stewarding through liaison with Chief Steward
• Ensure club furnishings are kept to an acceptable standard.
• Prepare reports for Board Meetings
• Attend Monthly Board Meetings
• Execute the responsibilities of a Company Director

KEY SKILLS:
• Confident and Effective communicator
• Good organiser
• Ability to delegate duties where necessary
• Ability and knowledge to act as spokesperson on housekeeping matters
• Unbiased and impartial

MARKETING, MEMBERSHIP & RECRUITMENT DIRECTOR

 

ROLE OUTLINE:

Continue with the marketing and recruitment strategy and objectives to increase the membership level of the club, particularly in the under 25 and 40 to 55 year old range. Manage/improve the systems in place to ensure that existing and new members are retained, it will be particularly important to ensure that new members are fully integrated and made familiar with all club activities. 

MAIN DUTIES:
• Manage Marketing and Recruitment Strategy and Objectives
• Organise promotional campaigns and recruitment drives
• Ensure that new members are fully integrated into club activities.
• Research and use all potential promotional opportunities for the club.
• Inform the local media of successes/ achievements.
• Publish fixtures and results in the local press
• Prepare newsletters, flyers and posters
• Prepare monthly report for Board
• Attend monthly Board meetings.
• Execute the responsibilities of a Company Director

KEY SKILLS:
• Good understanding of bowls club membership needs.
• Knowledge of local media.
• Management & organisational skills.
• Confident with good leadership skills.
• Good listener and effective communicator & motivator.
• Approachable and friendly.
• Possess IT skills appropriate to the role
